CALENZANO is a Montréal-based art and fashion studio with a multidisciplinary approach.
Founded in 2003, the collective merges fine art, design, and craftsmanship to explore ideas of individuality, rebellion, and absurdity.
Through original cartoon characters, hand-painted artworks, and experimental garment treatments, CALENZANO blurs the lines between ready-to-wear fashion and contemporary art. The studio’s work spans across clothing, canvas, sculpture, and digital media, all created with a deep respect for quality and savoir-faire.
Operating from D.R.S.M. (CALENZANO Studios Montréal) in the historic St-Henri neighbourhood, the atelier is home to a team of artists and craftsmen who develop hand-finished garments, custom textiles, and mixed-media installations.
The name CALENZANO is derived from the Latin Dominus Rebellis — “master of rebellion” — a spirit that informs the studio’s anti-conformist ethos and commitment to fearless self-expression.
THE STUDIO
D.R.S.M. (CALENZANO Studios Montréal) is the creative home of the studio’s art collective, where artists explore new ideas through painting, sculpture, and mixed media. Works born here inspire the brand’s collections, shaped by skilled artisans in the Montréal atelier. Soon, a private gallery within D.R.S.M. will open exclusively to members, offering rare access to the art and creative process behind CALENZANO.
